I first heard the siren song of white Burgundy while living in the French village of St-Germain-en-Laye. On our many trips to the Côte d’Or, we experienced the wines of Corton-Charlemagne and Montrachet in their full lusciousness. It’s been a love affair ever since. The Matisse is an expression of my life in France and of the white wines that I love. It’s made in the Burgundian tradition using “bâtonnage” (stirring the lees). It’s full-bodied and has an elegant finish. À votre santé!
